I needed a driveshaft for my modified vintage truck and South Bay Driveline delivered! Whether you just need u-joints replaced or a custom driveshaft, they'll take care of you! They are busy, so probably best to get your needs to them asap. I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend you give them a try! Their prices are as you'd expect. They even provide you with directions on how to measure a driveshaft so that they can build one from scratch if necessary.

I was worried by the mixed reviews, i had a couple people tell me i shouldnt go here since the owner retired and left his son in charge. The son doesn't have the best communication or customer service skills, the pricing is a little high, but the job was done correctly and i am happy with the results. It took a little longer than it should have, but in the end, the work they did was clean and works well. You get what you pay for. You just need to be patient. I will happily pay more and wait longer for high quality results.

Kids running it into the ground. I’ve had them make 7 driveline’s for me over the years, always received excellent service. The new generation is turning what was once a fantastic shop into the ground. Dropped off one of their custom shafts for a rebuild and they were extremely short and rude. Was returned without the pinion flange necessary to reinstall it. That alone didn’t bother me, I told them let’s just get it rebuilt right. But then, the unit failed within a few thousand miles, they had forgotten to grease the double cardan, leaving me stranded outside Wikieup, AZ. Was able to limp it to a shop in Phoenix to get rebuilt and they refused to offer any compensation. It’s a work vehicle which needed to be on the road ASAP and their stance was I should have shipped it back to them for repair.. Needless to say, for a company I used to have a stellar relationship with, getting ignored with zero professional empathy for the situation rubs me wrong. It’s not how they used to be nor how a business should be operated, in my opinion. I won’t be going back.

Steve knows his s###!! My son and I have been using him for all our driveline issues. If you want it done right the first time Everytime? Pay the man. If you think he's too expensive... Then you're not interested in quality. Have a great day
