Just another shop trying to earn a quick buck while doing the minimum amount of work. Was charged $2200 on my 98 Lexus sc400 asking to get it running again and fix all the electrical issues. The mechanic that worked on it got it running but just the minimum so that I could leave their shop. Down the road my car broke down on me and wouldn’t start up again, did some digging and found the alternator they put in was fried again, possibly because of oil and power steering leaks. Places in the wiring harness should’ve been repaired but they didn’t, even when I picked up the car it had a weak start which I found out later to be an issue with the anti theft deterrent not giving a good ground. So instead of doing quality work and going the extra mile they did the minimum while charging the maximum. Stay away from this shop.

The guys at Viking Auto had my back when it came to working with my insurance company who didn't want to pay for certain parts and repairs. They were very patient and stood behind professional expertise. In the end, their requests approved and everything that needed to be fixed was approved and completed. Now my car is like new again! I definitely recommend Viking Automotive!

The quality of the work is good, the pricing is fair, my only complaint is about the communication of the front desk staff with the actual technicians. My poor aunt had a nightmare scenario where a AAA subcontractor tried to change out her battery, couldn’t fit it in place because it was installed backwards, because he couldn’t fit it (because positive and negative are different sizes) he started whacking vigorously with a mallet. When he couldn’t figure it out we asked him to just reinstall the old battery which he also couldn’t do. He did so much to that car-God knows what. At one point there was smoke. We eventually had to be towed by a separate AAA driver. When that driver arrived he realized the first man put the battery in backwards and flipped it around for us. But when he started the car it was apparent that the radio, AC, and windshield wipers weren’t working. He told us he suspected blown fuses, possibly alternator, CPU, ECU, etc. When it got towed to Tuffy it was more electrical than they were comfortable working on, so they recommended we tow to Viking. When it got to Viking I explained all of the above. I explained that the company had accepted fault and I wanted a full comprehensive look at everything that could’ve possibly been caused by reverse polarity!! I wanted my aunt to be made whole so her car was just as it was before the incident. The paperwork from the front desk simply said AAA tech installed battery backwards, diagnose no start. The mechanics did do what the paper told them to, and got the car running, but that wasn’t nearly the comprehensive look I asked for. After AAA closed the claim and we picked up the car, the first time it rained we realized the windshield wipers still don’t work. They said we never asked for the windshield wipers at that first visit, but that just is not true! With AAA footing the bill I wanted alllllll the testing, not the minimum to get the car running. I reiterated that multiple times. They did waive fees on the additional work and make the situation right, but the front desk staff did not document all of the things I initially asked about.

Harry is an honest and trustworthy mechanic, as well as a reputable shop owner. I brought my vehicle in for a faulty A/C diagnosis, and he quickly identified and resolved the issue without recommending unnecessary part replacements. I truly appreciate his integrity and professionalism—highly recommended!

I came into Viking with a very "unexpected outage" on my Toyota 4Runner. A friend who worked in the auto parts industry recommended I take it to a place that specializes in auto air issues and he was absolutely correct! Aside from the expert repair, Viking went above and beyond in customer service. I arrived a bit later in the day than I had planned due to some medical appointments that had run long, and I wasn't expecting the outage issues given the age of my vehicle so the whole day was a handful to say the least. But the team at Viking did not leave me hanging (or sweating, as it were). First, they explained the issue to me and ensured I was comfortable with what was going on with my vehicle. Then they even did my repair on the same day! It meant they had to stay a few minutes past their closing time to get it done but they made no fuss about it. At first I made a little fuss because I didn't want to put them out but they settled me right in and got to work. I would recommend Viking to anyone as spring has already sprung and I don't know where I'd be without their willingness to go the extra mile and do whatever it takes for a customer who was in a bit of distress (I didn't even say a word, the service manager just correctly read the situation and handled it). I really appreciated the extra care --- in addition to the extra air. It's great to know there are still businesses who operate this way.
